Figures released by the BNIC show that shipments of cognac are up 7.1 per cent over the past 12 months.

448,719 hectolitres of pure alcohol is the total so far, and this remains a record.  But the figures over the past two months are slightly down on the previous years.  September of this year is down by 5 per cent.

Cognac market up

Regarding shipments to various markets, North America sales are down slightly by 0.4 per cent.  However, the Asian market is up by 16 per cent.
